We take confidentiality seriously and handle your personal and professional information responsibly at every step.
1. Information We Protect
- Your personal contact information (such as full name, email address, and phone number) is never publicly displayed on the site.
- Employers only see limited medic information (first name, region, verified status, and certifications) until both parties connect through the secure messaging system.
- Medics only see job posting details necessary to decide whether to respond (location, type of work, duration, and contact method after acceptance).
2. Data Privacy
- Minute Medic does not sell, trade, rent, or share user data with any third party.
- Your data is used only to operate the platform, verify credentials, and connect medics with employers.
- Any optional information you share (such as a photo, experience summary, or availability) remains under your control and can be updated or deleted from your profile at any time.
- We store all data on secure servers with limited administrative access.
3. Secure Messaging
- All communication between employers and medics takes place through a controlled internal message relay system.
- This ensures that messages remain private, monitored for safety, and cannot be accessed publicly.
- Direct email or phone contact is only visible once both parties accept a connection or hire request through the platform.
- Minute Medic may review message content in the event of abuse reports, harassment claims, or platform misuse.
4. Profile & Verification Security
- All medic profiles are verified through document review or automated systems (e.g., ticket or license verification).
- Uploaded certifications or licenses are stored securely and are visible only to verified employers who have paid access or have an active membership.
- Employers’ company names and job details are visible only to verified medics; sensitive company contact details remain private.
- We use verification checks to prevent fraudulent accounts and protect both sides from impersonation or misrepresentation.
5. Payment Security
- Payments for job postings, memberships, or verification add-ons are processed through trusted third-party payment gateways (such as Stripe or PayPal).
- Minute Medic does not store full credit card numbers or banking information on its servers.
- Transactions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL technology to ensure privacy and security.
6. User Responsibility
- Users agree to protect their own login credentials and not share their passwords with others.
- If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must notify us immediately at support@minutemedic.ca.
- Minute Medic is not responsible for losses arising from failure to maintain the confidentiality of your account.
7. Data Retention
- We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations.
- You may request account deletion at any time, and all identifiable personal information will be permanently removed from our systems.
