Every worker entering site should have valid certifications. As the site medic, it’s your responsibility to confirm that all required tickets are present and current before the worker begins work.

  
Check for:
 

  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
  • TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)
  • First Aid Certificate (appropriate to their role)
  • H2S Alive
  • Company-Specific or Common Safety Orientation (e.g., Energy Safety Canada CSO, ENFORM, or internal orientation)

    • Review expiry dates to ensure each ticket is still valid.
    • Note any nearing expiry dates and inform the site supervisor or HSE contact.

  2. 🧭 Know routes: main and alternate evacuation paths.

  5. 📋 Document every event immediately after stabilization.
